Starting Something New

When I first started with Family Promise of Bradley County, I worked really hard to educate audiences I had access to on the realities of homelessness. Before COVID, I spoke frequently to church groups, asking them for or thanking them for their support.
I want to continue this work, but on a larger scale, so that I may reach more people with the ultimate goal of eliminating the stereotypes of homelessness.
I have recently been introduced to Substack through some personal research. I dipped my toes in this platform and followed a couple of people whom I admire, and an idea began brewing.
So, I got motivated the other night while watching TV and created a Substack, which I intend to use as a platform to continue the work of breaking down harmful misconceptions about homelessness and showing others the realities of what our community members face when they are slipping down that slope.
I ask that you join me on my journey of advocating for families in our community who face insurmountable challenges. You can find my Substack here or click below.
